Aubrey Mann *** feeling good **** 1979

ENJOY IT'S FREE ON BENTLEYFUNK Obscure album from Canada, with a sound that feels like late 70s modern southern soul -- ala Malaco or TK -- but which was apparently recorded in Toronto. The tracks have a basic bluesy approach, but are augmented by some slicker production, and electric keyboards -- giving them more of a modern style. Aubrey does a number of monologues over tracks by other artists -- like "It Ain't What's On A Woman" and "Love Is So Good When You're Stealing It", both by Jimmy Lewis. And he also does versions of "Ain't No Stoppin Us Now", "Here I Am", and "Hard To Handle"
