Bernard Wright – Mr. Wright - 1985

By the mid 80s, Bernard Wright had dropped some of his jazz funk sound, and moved towards more of a smoother R&B sound -- although the mix proved out to work surprisingly well, and has made this album a bit of a classic in the 80s groove mode. Includes the cut "Who Do You Love", which is still quite popular here in Chicago, plus "Too Damn Hot", "Killin' Me", "Yo Nard", and "Love You So". Lenny White and Marcus Miller produced. (Includes the original inner sleeve.
